PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Melissa Anderson has been working in the field of psychology for over 25 years. She worked and trained in corrections, community mental health, and private practice for ten years before deciding to open her private practice. She works with all age groups on a variety of issues, including marital and parenting issues, depression and anxiety, grief and loss issues, life transitions, divorce mediation, stress management, addiction and trauma/abuse issues to offer an overview.

Dana has been working in the field of mental health for over 25 years. She has worked and trained in corrections, community mental health and private practice. She has worked with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and loss, personality disorders, sexual health, to name a few. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Processing (EMDR) ​

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ​
Scott has a long history of working in the mental health field in varying capacities. He has experience working with persons of all ages with varying mental health issues. He is compassionate about working with people and meeting the client where they are at in life. Scott received his Master's degree in psychology from the University of MN, Duluth. He is currently working on his licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor.

Stephanie Rock, MS
Mental Health Therapist
Professional Experience:
Steph has been actively working, for over 20 years with adults, families, and children with disabilities. She has provided educational and tutoring services to those with dyslexia and other disabilities. Her love of education and learning led her to return to college and get her master’s degree in psychology. She is excited to be providing therapy to both adults and children. She addresses areas to include: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, child behavioral issues, family and relational issues, adults and children with disabilities, death and dying, to name a few. Helping others has always been a passion in her life. She is currently working toward her licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ​
Kristina has been working for the last 8 years as a Social Worker for Carlton County Health and Human services. She has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
She has experience working with adults and children. She addresses depression, anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral issues, family and relational issues.

Becca has been working in the field of mental health for over 7 years. She specializes in art therapy, working with both children and adults. She works with clients of all ages addressing PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief and loss, stress management to name a few. Her experience includes working with Autism, deaf culture, and persons with physical disabilities. ​

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ​
Reilly has been working with dually diagnosed mental and chemical health since 2022. She enjoys working with addiction of all kinds, depression, grief and loss, and life stressors. Reilly has a special interest in the LGBTQ+ population.

Reilly has received additional certifications in Integrative CBT and Exposure & Response Prevention for treatment of GAD, Panic Disorder, OCD, social anxiety, and phobias. She has also been certified in Internal Family Systems therapy. Finally, she is certified in Affirmative Counseling for Transgender and Gender Diverse Clients.

She is excited to be providing services in the Willow River School District for the 2025-2026 school year.

Sarah VanderMeiden, MS

Professional Experience:
Working with people of all ages for over 25 years, Sarah is passionate about helping clients get clear on what they truly want and the steps needed to get there. Sarah has worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, procrastination, problems at work, career/educational planning concerns, life transitions and relationship issues, including navigating the challenges of raising children and caring for elderly parents.

Araya Heinen, BA
Clinical Practicum Student
Psychometrist
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ​
Araya is currently working on her doctoral degree from Augsburg University. She has completed her practicum in psychometrics, completing psychological evaluations. She is currently completing her practicum in therapy through May 2026.
​
Araya is also working as a psychometrist in our clinic, doing assessment for ADHD, diagnostic clarification, cognitive and memory assessment, along with adaptive functioning.
