PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Melissa Anderson has been working in the field of psychology for over 25 years. She worked and trained in corrections, community mental health, and private practice for ten years before deciding to open her private practice. She works with all age groups on a variety of issues, including marital and parenting issues, depression and anxiety, grief and loss issues, life transitions, divorce mediation, stress management, addiction and trauma/abuse issues to offer an overview.

Stephanie Rock, MS

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Steph has been actively working, for over 20 years with adults, families, and children with disabilities. She has provided educational and tutoring services to those with dyslexia and other disabilities. Her love of education and learning led her to return to college and get her master’s degree in psychology. She is excited to be providing therapy to both adults and children. She addresses areas to include: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, child behavioral issues, family and relational issues, adults and children with disabilities, death and dying, to name a few. Helping others has always been a passion in her life. She is currently working toward her licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor.

Jeff Bernstein, BS

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jeff is currently a graduated student at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. He is completing his internship with our clinic. He is passionate about working with individuals across the lifespan, with a special interest in supporting adults and older adults experiencing bereavement, OCD, and anxiety related disorders. Drawing from Client Centered Therapy and Bowenian Systems Therapy, Jeff strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Jeff believes meaningful therapeutic relationship are build on empathy, authenticity, and collaboration.

Becca has been working in the field of mental health for over 7 years. She specializes in art therapy, working with both children and adults. Her experience includes working with Autism, deaf culture, and persons with physical disabilities.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Reilly has been working with dually diagnosed mental and chemical health since 2022. She enjoys working with addiction of all kinds, depression, grief and loss, and life stressors. Reilly has a special interest in the LGBTQ+ population.
Reilly has received additional certifications in Integrative CBT and Exposure & Response Prevention for treatment of GAD, Panic Disorder, OCD, social anxiety, and phobias. She has also been certified in Internal Family Systems therapy. Finally, she is certified in Affirmative Counseling for Transgender and Gender Diverse Clients.
She is excited to be providing services in the Willow River School District for the 2026-2027 school year.

Araya Heinen, BA

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Araya is currently working on her doctoral degree from Augsburg University. She has completed her practicum in psychometrics, completing psychological evaluations. Araya works in as a psychometrist in our clinic, doing assessment for ADHD, Adult Autism, diagnostic clarification, cognitive and memory assessment, along with adaptive functioning.

Robin Pfuhl, BS

Robin is a graduate clinician pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. She specializes in supporting individuals navigating complex trauma, intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual assault, and acute life stressors.
Robin’s therapeutic framework is grounded in person-centered principles, prioritizing clinical empathy, authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and cultural humility. To address the unique clinical needs of each client, she integrates evidence-based interventions within a trauma-informed care model. Her clinical experience includes crisis advocacy, strength-based therapy, and resilience-building strategies. Committed to professional development and evidence-based practice, Robin focuses her ongoing clinical training on advanced interventions for survivors of interpersonal violence and complex trauma, with the ultimate goal of delivering highly compassionate, culturally responsive mental health services.
